Requirements
- Have 8+ years of total experience and 3+ years of relevant experience as a team lead.
- Have experience with microservice and event-driven architecture.
- Be proficient in backend technologies; JavaScript is preferred, but other technologies are considered.
- Be proficient in frontend technologies; React is preferred, with Angular, Vue, and other JavaScript-based frameworks also considered.
- Have proficiency with MongoDB or relational databases; the company uses PostgreSQL.
- Understand SDLC and have experience guiding teams through planning, development, and rollout using agile practices.
- Understand testing practices, including writing unit and integration test cases.
- Have experience managing multidisciplinary teams, including managers and senior engineers working across multiple projects and technologies.
- Bring strategic thinking and the ability to formulate product and business strategies.
- Have strong cross-functional collaboration, influencing, relationship management, project management, problem-solving, and change-management skills.
- AWS experience is highly preferable, including services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS, RDS, and SQS.
Responsibilities
- Drive team efforts and keep a large engineering team aligned with its goals.
- Oversee code quality, scalability, maintainability, and readability.
- Estimate and delegate engineering work.
- Manage the design, strategy, and execution of software development projects supporting product roadmaps.
- Lead technology architecture and development according to product needs.
- Oversee the daily activities and progress of multiple SCRUM teams.
- Monitor and update team metrics to measure engineering and operational excellence.
- Guide SCRUM teams in estimating effort for new features and fixes.
- Collaborate with Product Managers on new products and features.
- Use data-driven execution to support transparency.
