Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience.
  • Experience with data, platform, infrastructure, or API products serving internal or technical users.
  • Strong understanding of data pipelines, warehouses and lakes, schemas, data quality, and governance.
  • Ability to collaborate credibly with data engineers on ingestion, integration, and platform architecture decisions.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native data environments, object storage, managed data warehouses, streaming, ELT processes, and orchestration tools.
  • Experience treating internal teams as customers, managing competing demands, and driving measurable platform adoption.
  • Strong prioritization and decision-making skills in ambiguous, cross-functional settings.
  • Experience developing and communicating product roadmaps and aligning stakeholders on priorities and delivery expectations.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, including documenting requirements and explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Active use of AI tools to improve productivity, product execution, or team effectiveness.
  • Experience defining data contracts is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Define and manage data sourcing strategy, prioritizing internal systems and third-party providers.
  • Manage onboarding of new data sources from evaluation through ingestion, validation, and production launch.
  • Partner with data engineering teams to develop connectors, define schemas, and establish service-level agreements.
  • Create and maintain data contracts and standards for schemas, freshness, quality, metadata, and governance.
  • Manage relationships with internal platform consumers and prioritize their requests.
  • Define and improve metrics for source coverage, data freshness, data quality, adoption, and consumer onboarding time.
  • Maintain the platform roadmap and communicate priorities and delivery timelines.
  • Interview and observe internal users to identify workflow needs and platform improvements.
  • Write product requirements and data contracts, collaborating with engineering on estimates, priorities, and sequencing.
  • Use AI tools to support source evaluation, requirements, documentation, feedback analysis, prototyping, and internal support.
