Requirements
- Have at least 5 years of successful enterprise SaaS sales experience specifically selling into the utilities industry.
- Demonstrate a record of winning large accounts in power generation, transmission, distribution, or other large public or private utilities.
- Have experience developing and executing utilities-industry sales programs with measurable pipeline or revenue results.
- Bring strong prospecting, presentation, negotiation, written communication, and closing skills.
- Have a history of meeting or exceeding quota, supported by measurable results.
- Be comfortable using Salesforce and applying AI tools to improve research, productivity, or sales workflows.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Live within practical reach of a major airport and be able to travel at least 30%.
- Experience opening new markets or winning new customers is a plus.
- Experience growing revenue in existing utility accounts and building relationships across utility buying teams is a plus.
- Deep utility industry experience and established relationships are a plus; 15 or more years of relevant experience is also a plus.
- Experience managing many opportunities and navigating security-conscious buying environments is a plus; an active security clearance is also a plus.
Responsibilities
- Build knowledge of utility operations, buying structures, industry priorities, and available SaaS solutions.
- Build and maintain a pipeline through research, outreach, prospecting, and opportunity development within utility accounts.
- Develop relationships with decision-makers and influencers across complex organizations.
- Lead consultative, value-based sales cycles directly and with channel partners.
- Advance and close enterprise opportunities, including deals exceeding $100,000 in annual contract value.
- Develop and execute utility-focused sales programs with Marketing, Business Development, and channel partners.
- Meet or exceed sales and quarterly bookings goals.
- Maintain accurate opportunity, forecast, and activity records in Salesforce.
