Requirements

  • Experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, inside sales, account development, or a related customer-facing role.
  • Earlier-career candidates may qualify with other professional experience demonstrating interest in a technology sales career.
  • Ability to ask thoughtful questions and understand how customers operate.
  • Ability to identify next steps in complex situations and work through obstacles.
  • Comfort with outreach, rejection, persistence, and professional follow-up.
  • Ability to manage multiple opportunities, stakeholders, follow-ups, and accurate documentation.
  • Clear written and verbal communication and ability to build rapport with different stakeholders.
  • Enjoy collaborating with Product, Client Services, Marketing, and Sales.
  • Comfort learning new technology and interest in using AI and digital tools.
  • Experience with CRM, LinkedIn, sales engagement platforms, or software sales is an asset.
  • Experience in housing, affordable housing, Housing Finance Agencies, government, or technology is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Research the HFA market and identify prospective contacts and untapped opportunities across existing and prospective accounts.
  • Use targeted outreach to create conversations and identify opportunities to introduce additional Emphasys HFA products.
  • Qualify customer interest, understand needs, identify stakeholders, and connect opportunities with the Strategic Account Executive.
  • Nurture relationships and follow up as opportunities progress.
  • Identify relevant RFPs and coordinate response information with Product Managers and other internal teams.
  • Gather answers, build response matrices, organize documentation, and track government procurement requirements.
  • Organize contract documentation and follow up on insurance certificates and other required materials.
  • Use CRM, LinkedIn, sales and research tools, and AI-enabled technology to research accounts, organize information, and prepare outreach.
  • Share market observations with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Client Services.
