Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in science, finance/accounting, or a related business field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in proposal and/or change order preparation.
- Experience using an Excel-based costing tool.
- Experience preparing change order and contract documents.
- Working knowledge of project budgets and financial analysis.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong financial skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Working knowledge of project life cycles and how changes in assumptions affect clinical trial costing, budgets, and financial impact.
- MBA preferred.
- CRO industry experience preferred.
- Travel is required; travel will be minimal.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project management, financial analysts, functional leads, and other contributors to produce accurate change orders aligned with updated assumptions.
- Review budget assumption changes and work with the project team to identify information gaps, discrepancies, and unique service requirements.
- Communicate with project teams and other stakeholders to support timely and accurate change order delivery.
- Schedule and lead change order alignment calls with the extended project team.
- Prepare, edit, and customize change order text covering strategic messaging, assumptions, budget summaries, resourcing changes, and additional financial requirements.
- Incorporate vendor and partner change orders into the main change order when applicable.
- Verify assumptions, processes, changes from prior agreements, resourcing updates, timeline shifts, and country, site, and patient changes are accurate and clearly stated.
- Review financial formulas, cross-check calculations, and conduct reasonable testing to ensure change order accuracy.
- Track and record change order requests to support departmental metrics.
