Requirements
- Have 3+ years of strategic sourcing or direct vendor negotiation experience.
- Bring experience ideally gained in a high-growth technology or fintech company.
- Demonstrate a track record negotiating six- and seven-figure software, SaaS, or cloud agreements.
- Show experience securing commercial terms beyond price.
- Understand commercial contract terms, including MSAs, order forms, DPAs, SOWs, and licensing models.
- Be comfortable marking up contracts with Legal.
- Have hands-on fluency using AI tools, such as LLM assistants and agents.
- Work cross-functionally and with senior management to meet partner requirements without blocking innovation.
- Lead initiatives end to end and bring solutions proactively.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end negotiations for new vendors and renewals, from benchmarking and walk-away positions through final terms.
- Structure deals covering renewal uplift caps, usage and true-up mechanics, ramp schedules, termination rights, and auto-renewal protections.
- Run competitive sourcing and build business cases for vendor selection and consolidation.
- Build and share repeatable AI-assisted sourcing workflows for proposal comparison, price benchmarking, contract redlining, and negotiation preparation.
- Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, and InfoSec to evaluate vendors and structure commercial terms.
- Serve as the primary vendor contact for contractual matters and an escalation point for employees communicating with vendor sales representatives.
- Drive timely procurement request review and approval, ensuring alignment across key stakeholders, including the C-suite.
