Requirements
- Have full-cycle recruiting experience in competitive technical talent markets, including offer and compensation conversations.
- Bring technical recruiting experience or a strong interest in learning engineering and product disciplines, tech stacks, team structures, and software development.
- Build stakeholder trust, influence without authority, and manage hiring team expectations.
- Have experience building proactive, diversity-focused sourcing strategies and balanced pipelines for hard-to-fill or specialized roles.
- Use funnel insights to identify practical recruiting actions.
- Stay organized across multiple requisitions and communicate clearly in writing and verbally across time zones.
- Bring attention to detail and a commitment to candidate care.
- Have experience with an applicant tracking system and recruiting tools such as Greenhouse, LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn Insights, SeekOut, or comparable platforms.
- Evaluate AI-generated work, protect confidential information, and share responsible workflows with team members.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle searches for engineering and product roles, meeting agreed recruiting goals and documenting activity in Greenhouse.
- Lead intake and kickoff conversations to align hiring teams on role scope, technical requirements, interview plans, and timelines.
- Partner with hiring teams on structured, equitable technical interviews and raise risks or blockers early.
- Use talent-market research, compensation benchmarks, funnel metrics, and candidate feedback to shape search strategy.
- Assess candidates' experience, past work, problem-solving, community contributions, and fit with GitLab teams and technology.
- Build research-based, diversity-focused sourcing plans across applicants, passive talent, referrals, internal talent, and technical communities.
- Manage candidate pipelines, communicate proactively, provide timely feedback, and negotiate offers.
- Share recruiting learnings and reusable resources, use AI responsibly, and represent GitLab's mission, values, and culture.
