Requirements
- Strong knowledge of live sports production, streaming workflows, and event operations.
- Experience coordinating multiple live productions, crews, or events simultaneously.
- Experience recruiting, scheduling, managing, or developing freelance production personnel.
- Experience managing production budgets, expenses, or other operational resources.
- Technical proficiency and strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in live production environments.
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, organizational, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a distributed regional team.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and other non-traditional hours based on the sports calendar.
- Ability and willingness to travel throughout Ohio, including overnight travel when required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Sports Management, Production, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in live production, sports operations, event operations, or a related field preferred.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and grow NFHS Network production operations across OHSAA’s statewide postseason tournament structure.
- Identify opportunities to increase the number of manual broadcasts throughout Ohio.
- Develop coverage schedules and production plans with regional production leadership and OHSAA.
- Build production capacity by recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supporting freelance production personnel.
- Deploy crews and equipment according to event needs, geography, and overlapping schedules.
- Manage production logistics, including venue access, setup locations, power, internet connectivity, and technical requirements.
- Communicate crew assignments, call times, production formats, sponsor obligations, and event-specific instructions.
- Manage production expenses and assist with forecasting and budget tracking.
- Support crews during live events and troubleshoot streaming, connectivity, equipment, and production issues.
- Monitor production quality and provide feedback, training, and support to crews.
