Requirements
- Have an exceptional academic track record from high school and university.
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Computer Science or offer a compelling narrative about an alternative path.
- Bring extensive embedded Linux experience, such as Yocto or another embedded Linux distribution.
- Bring extensive Linux experience; Debian or Ubuntu is preferred.
- Have the ability to manage a small team.
- Have experience with customer engagements.
- Have professional written and spoken English.
- Be able to communicate the business benefits of technology.
- Be able to travel internationally twice a year for company events lasting up to two weeks.
- Be located in the Americas, EMEA, or APAC and work remotely in a single major time zone.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Field engineers across Presales and Professional Services.
- Plan and drive progress on agreed goals and projects.
- Partner with the leadership team.
- Develop and champion engineering excellence and organisational practices.
- Coach and mentor team members and provide career development feedback.
- Solve customer problems by promoting Canonical technologies and acting as a trusted advisor.
- Identify and measure team health indicators and implement disciplined engineering processes.
- Represent the team and product to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
- Provide market feedback to Product and Engineering teams.
