Requirements
- Have 5+ years of Product Management experience on developer tools, or equivalent depth as an ex-founder.
- Have owned an app development platform, feature or framework where real-time was core to the developer experience.
- Be comfortable commenting on an architecture document and following design discussions.
- Advocate for users when trade-offs are required.
- Be comfortable with Postgres and familiar with logical replication.
- Be comfortable querying and cleaning your own product findings.
- Work asynchronously by default and make decisions in writing.
- Strong signals include an existing developer audience through social media, open source or developer advocacy.
- Strong signals include experience with a sync engine, local-first or live-query product.
- Strong signals include experience with gaming, AR or collaborative-tool customers.
- Strong signal: having shipped something using Supabase.
Responsibilities
- Own the problem statements, solution rationale and roadmap for Supabase Realtime.
- Work with Engineering and Design to shape the developer experience for prioritized problems.
- Shape how Realtime evolves for future application experiences, including AI apps and other Supabase products.
- Own Realtime packaging and pricing with Pricing, Finance and Billing.
- Use data to understand how developers use Realtime features and where they succeed or get stuck.
- Keep Engineering, Design and GTM aligned on what is coming, why and in what order.
- Collaborate with customers ranging from indie developers to startups and enterprise teams.
