Requirements
- Have 5+ years of product management experience.
- Have meaningful experience owning a platform, infrastructure, or security-adjacent product.
- Bring direct experience with identity and access management concepts.
- Understand authentication protocols including OAuth, OIDC, and SAML.
- Have experience with SSO, MFA, and session management.
- Understand authorization and role-based access control models.
- Have a track record of shipping platform capabilities used by other internal teams.
- Be able to balance security and compliance requirements against speed and usability.
- Communicate technical identity concepts clearly to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with security and compliance teams, such as on SOC 2 or data privacy requirements, is preferred.
- Have demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.
Responsibilities
- Own the roadmap for login flows, single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, session management, and passwordless authentication.
- Define and evolve role-based access control and fine-grained entitlements across products and customer segments.
- Drive strategy for the identity platform, including APIs, service-to-service authentication, and integrations with internal services and third-party or partner systems.
- Translate security, compliance, and business requirements into a prioritized roadmap and communicate trade-offs to engineering leadership and stakeholders.
- Partner with engineering and security teams to scope, sequence, and ship IAM capabilities from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Guide other product teams on safely building features that depend on authentication or authorization.
- Define IAM success metrics, including login success rate, MFA adoption, time-to-provision, and incident rate, and use data to prioritize investment.
- Represent customer and internal engineering-consumer needs in roadmap decisions.
