Requirements

  • 8 or more years of experience in product partnerships, business development, or strategic partnerships at a SaaS or fintech company.
  • A demonstrated track record of taking complex deals from sourcing through execution.
  • Experience navigating partner ecosystems in AI, platform integration, or developer tools.
  • Working knowledge of API-based integrations and connector frameworks such as MCP.
  • Ability to lead partner conversations independently and present and defend negotiation strategies with C-suite leaders.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including deal-economics modeling and trade-off assessment.
  • Ability to translate partnership outcomes into revenue or TAM impact.
  • Experience building cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, marketing, and finance.
  • Prior experience with AI frontier companies or MCP/API connector ecosystems is desired.
  • Experience with investment banking, corporate development, or product management, followed by a move into partnerships or business development, is desired.
  • Ecosystem integration experience with major ERPs such as SAP, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Source, evaluate, and structure partnership opportunities, preparing financial analyses, trade-off frameworks, and negotiation strategies.
  • Drive deals from discovery to launch, including term negotiation, agreement execution, and cross-functional go-to-market planning.
  • Own and grow partnerships with frontier AI companies, managing contracting, connector approvals, expansions, co-marketing, distribution, and monetization.
  • Lead development of the MCP connector pipeline with product and engineering, defining connector capabilities and navigating partner approvals.
  • Build the platform partner integration roadmap for AP, AR, and Spend and Expense, coordinating deal execution across internal teams.
  • Work with R&D leadership to identify LLM model use cases and incorporate contractual spend commitments into partnership roadmaps.
  • Develop scalable playbooks and processes for the product partnerships program.
  • Represent BILL at partner meetings, conferences, and industry events.
