Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical field, or have equivalent professional experience.
- Have 3–5 years of sales experience with commercial or government accounts and a demonstrated record of sales success.
- Have at least 2 years of cold-calling experience, ideally in IT or selling data center-related products and solutions.
- Bring working knowledge of business processes, IT trends, market strategy, profit and loss concepts, and government contracting.
- Identify customer needs, qualify opportunities, and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrate leadership, time management, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
- Build and maintain productive relationships across assigned accounts.
- Work collaboratively in a team-based sales environment while independently managing a pipeline.
- Be comfortable with outbound prospecting and new business development.
- Be able to work with customers and partners supporting U.S. federal government programs and related security requirements.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound sales and pre-sales calls to identify opportunities, engage prospects, and present solutions to assigned accounts.
- Partner with Federal Account Executives and Systems Engineers on sales objectives, strategic account plans, and revenue goals.
- Manage sales and lead funnels through consistent engagement with customers and partners.
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned federal accounts and target markets.
- Generate proposals and quotes, schedule customer meetings, and coordinate joint calls with partners and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with solution partners, channel stakeholders, and outside sales counterparts to advance qualified opportunities toward closure.
- Build and maintain business relationships with customers, partners, and key decision-makers.
- Maintain accurate opportunity information and sales activity in relevant systems and processes.
- Support strategic sales initiatives and contribute to account, pipeline, and revenue objectives.
