Requirements

  • Have 8+ years of relevant finance experience preferred; SaaS experience is strongly preferred.
  • Have 3+ years of experience supporting Marketing organizations and budgets.
  • Have experience evaluating Marketing program spend ROI and pipeline-generation efficiency through financial models.
  • Know Sales and Marketing metrics, including ARR, MRR, pipeline, conversion or win rates, CAC, and LTV.
  • Bring strong financial and operational planning skills.
  • Have experience partnering with senior leadership and influencing across an organization.
  • Have experience developing and delivering written and verbal presentations.
  • Build Excel-based financial models and analyze data to provide actionable insights.
  • Have experience with headcount reconciliation and month-end budget or forecast versus actuals reconciliation.
  • Hold a four-year university degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Have experience with financial systems including Adaptive, NetSuite, Zuora, Coupa, and Salesforce.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership on go-to-market strategy, investment priorities, and resource allocation.
  • Own the GTM annual operating plan, quarterly reforecasts, and long-range plan, including bookings, pipeline, quota capacity, headcount, and operating expenses.
  • Lead capacity and productivity planning with Sales Operations, including hiring plans, ramp assumptions, quota setting, territory coverage, and attainment.
  • Model and optimize Marketing demand-generation spend, pipeline contribution, funnel conversion, and channel ROI.
  • Report and analyze GTM and SaaS unit economics, including ARR, retention, churn, CAC, CAC payback, LTV:CAC, and S&M efficiency.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly S&M close analysis, including budget-versus-actual and forecast-versus-actual variances.
  • Present Sales and Marketing performance updates, business reviews, and recommendations to executives, and contribute GTM content to board materials.
  • Build business cases and scenario models for GTM decisions, including new segments or geographies, pricing, partner programs, and marketing investments.
  • Partner with Sales Operations, Accounting, and HR/Total Rewards on sales compensation design, cost modeling, and commission expense forecasting.
  • Build and develop a team of FP&A analysts and improve GTM planning, reporting, systems, and data integration.
