Requirements
- Have 5+ years of digital product management experience managing complex platforms and delivering measurable business or audience outcomes.
- Bring substantive experience with enterprise marketing automation platforms, customer data platforms, or audience lifecycle suites.
- Have experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Piano.io, Braze, or Segment.
- Translate cross-departmental requirements into user stories, technical specifications, and prioritized roadmaps.
- Have led technical software migrations, vendor integrations, or enterprise tooling rollouts.
- Have a data-informed product development background, including digital analytics, cohort tracking, and structured A/B testing.
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience in media, digital publishing, nonprofit, or subscription- or membership-driven organizations.
- Preferred: experience implementing AI-enabled automation or algorithmic segmentation in marketing workflows.
- Preferred: familiarity with user privacy regulations, consent frameworks, and consumer data compliance standards.
- Demonstrate systems thinking, internal tool enablement, data literacy and attribution, cross-functional influence, and iterative problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead the product roadmap for NPR's audience lifecycle and martech ecosystem, including Piano.io and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into prioritized engineering backlogs.
- Build, configure, and operationalize audience activation tools, self-serve processes, user permissions, and governance guardrails.
- Partner with cross-divisional teams to develop automation for email discovery, content re-engagement, recurring donations, and win-back journeys.
- Work with Data and Analytics teams on CDP segmentation, tracking taxonomy, and attribution modeling.
- Drive technical development and platform enhancements for NPR's editorial newsletter suite.
- Evaluate and deploy practical AI and automation capabilities in lifecycle workflows.
- Design personalization and segmentation workflows to support diverse audience engagement.
- Write product documentation, establish lifecycle governance practices, and conduct internal training.
