- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 8+ years of product marketing experience, including at least 3 years leading product launches or go-to-market programs.
- Experience leading at least one major product launch end to end, from positioning through sales readiness and post-launch measurement.
- Experience building a sales enablement program with meaningful adoption and a clear approach to measuring impact.
- Experience shaping pricing and packaging decisions.
- Strong positioning, messaging, and writing skills for buyers and sales teams.
- Experience managing and developing at least one product marketer.
- Experience working directly with Sales and field teams, including customer calls and training.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools for research, competitive analysis, or content development, with sound judgment around accuracy and appropriate use.
- B2B experience with long, multi-stakeholder buying cycles.
- Preferred: K–12 education or EdTech experience, particularly selling to school districts, and familiarity with the Science of Reading or literacy instruction.
- Preferred: Experience leading win/loss or voice-of-customer programs, developing customer marketing strategies for retention and expansion, or partnering with research or efficacy teams on evidence-based product claims.
Responsibilities
- Lead go-to-market planning for new products and major releases, aligning Product, Sales, Partnerships, and Customer Success on timing, readiness, and success measures.
- Own product portfolio positioning and messaging across campaigns, sales materials, and customer communications.
- Partner with Product and Finance on pricing and packaging decisions.
- Define the evidence and customer stories needed to support product positioning with Research and Curriculum.
- Build and lead the sales enablement program, including playbooks, battlecards, launch training, and an enablement calendar.
- Partner with Sales and field teams to understand buyer needs and improve how solutions are positioned.
- Lead competitive intelligence, win/loss practices, and voice-of-customer work to inform positioning, product priorities, retention, and expansion.
- Use AI-assisted research and analysis to improve market and competitive insights while maintaining accuracy and sound judgment.
- Lead and develop the Product Marketing Manager and partner with cross-functional teams to bring programs to market.
- Measure and improve how launches and product marketing initiatives contribute to pipeline, adoption, retention, and expansion.
