Requirements
- Bring 5+ years of experience shipping production software.
- Have real ownership experience with developer tools, CLIs, agent products, or the infrastructure behind them.
- Be fluent in coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, or Hermes.
- Understand agent loops, harnesses, and tool integrations.
- Understand tool calling, context management, prompt caching, and evaluations.
- Understand cost, latency, and quality tradeoffs between models.
- Apply sound systems judgment to sandboxing, process isolation, secrets, and reliability across many users.
- Be able to talk to users, prototype, ship, and iterate on a small team.
- Care about interaction details and the developer-tool experience.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship across Ori surfaces, including the CLI and its harness integrations.
- Implement model switching, provider fallbacks, model-specific tool and prompt settings, and organizational guardrails.
- Build the agent runtime, including sandboxing, secrets and session management, compaction, and shareable agent skills.
- Enable agents to be deployed, forked, and shut down in the cloud, with version-controlled and auditable state.
- Own quality across installation, authentication, CLI UX, reliability, observability, and evaluations.
- Use Ori internally and iterate on the product based on that experience.
- Feed gaps exposed by Ori back into OpenRouter's APIs and SDKs.
