Requirements
- Hold a university degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
- Have hands-on experience as a data engineer or in a similar role, including experience operating at staff level or higher.
- Have built and maintained event collection, customer data infrastructure, or data pipeline systems in production.
- Have experience inheriting and rationalizing independently built pipelines.
- Have experience evaluating or implementing Customer Data Platforms, including migrating or consolidating existing tooling; greenfield-only experience is not sufficient.
- Have experience with privacy-compliant tracking and consent management, including how consent state affects data collection.
- Have proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL.
- Bring experience with identity resolution, attribution, or cross-domain tracking.
- Be comfortable using AI tools as part of day-to-day work.
- Experience with server-side tagging or tag management systems is ideal; healthcare or other regulated-environment experience is a plus.
- Python is a strong asset; familiarity with Snowflake, Looker, or similar warehouse and BI tooling is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain customer data infrastructure, event pipelines, and source integrations from collection to warehouse.
- Assess existing pipelines and tooling, rationalize independently configured sources, and establish consistent conventions.
- Drive collection-layer tooling strategy for the CDP, event pipeline, and ingestion infrastructure, including evaluating the long-term stack.
- Establish standards for structuring, naming, versioning, and validating product and web events.
- Own identity resolution and attribution at the collection layer, connecting user journeys across channels, domains, and touchpoints.
- Design instrumentation that accommodates PHI compliance requirements, consent management, tag management, and third-party marketing tools.
- Work with marketing, paid media, analytics, marketing operations, BI, and product on attribution, campaign tracking, conversion data, and integrations.
