- Have a minimum of 12 years of PR experience, with the majority in an agency setting.
- Have at least 7 years in a team leadership role, including budget and staffing responsibilities.
- Have experience managing and mentoring teams, conducting annual reviews, and identifying skills gaps.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, AP writing standards, and high-level media pitching.
- Bring a deep understanding of the healthcare and pharmaceutical media landscape, including FDA approvals and regulations.
- Have established media contacts and a track record of securing top-tier media coverage.
- Demonstrate client service and relationship-building abilities, including coaching and influencing C-suite clients.
- Be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Have experience with inclusive communication, team workflow management, and reporting.
- Hold a bachelor's degree; advanced degrees or relevant certifications are preferred.
- Be comfortable working in and contributing to a fully remote team environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client contact, build relationships, understand business objectives, and provide strategic counsel.
- Develop and implement PR strategies aligned with clients' business goals.
- Lead, mentor, and support account teams, including junior staff.
- Oversee PR campaign execution, project delivery, work quality, and measurable results.
- Manage client budgets, resources, staffing decisions, and annual planning.
- Build relationships with healthcare and pharmaceutical media contacts, secure coverage, and manage media inquiries.
- Oversee development of press releases, articles, case studies, and social media posts.
- Track campaign performance and provide clients with updates and actionable insights.
- Contribute to new business proposals, presentations, and pitches.
