- Have high-empathy selling experience in consulting, professional services, admissions, financial services, healthcare, or legal.
- Be comfortable discussing a $5,000 to $15,000 commitment directly and respectfully.
- Have experience handling a steady flow of inbound leads.
- Maintain CRM discipline, including same-day notes and follow-ups.
- Be able to learn family law basics, such as case types and what drives cost, without crossing into legal advice.
- Be comfortable on the phone and Zoom, and trusted with confidential information.
- Meet the expected consultation-to-client close rate of 55% or higher; the minimum is 45% during the first 45 days of training, then 50% each month.
- Preferred: sales or intake experience at a law firm, experience selling alongside attorneys or other experts, and familiarity with Lawmatics or Clio.
Responsibilities
- Run paid consultations and lead discovery into each person's situation, goals, urgency, concerns, and readiness to move forward.
- Explain the firm's process, services, and fees in plain English, and route legal questions to an attorney.
- Recommend an appropriate retainer based on case complexity and firm pricing.
- Handle objections about cost, timing, trust, and competing firms with questions rather than pressure.
- Ask for the engagement and guide new clients through the engagement agreement and retainer payment.

- Work lead follow-up and take intake calls when not in consultations.
- Log consultations, outcomes, and next steps in Lawmatics the same day, and review recorded consultations.

- Help refine consultation scripts, objection handling, and training with firm leadership.
