Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Six or more years of direct 340B program management or 340B consulting experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of 340B program strategy, operations, compliance, reimbursement, and industry developments.
  • Ability to lead regional 340B teams and serve as a subject matter expert for health system counterparts.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with medication management software, healthcare billing systems, electronic medical records, 340B third-party administrators, and pharmacy management and dispensing systems.
  • Ability to use data to structure complex subjects into actionable plans.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
  • Preferred: Experience with 340B TPA systems and exposure to 340B from covered entity, pharmacy, and TPA perspectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive 340B strategy based on federal statute, HRSA guidelines, audit trends, and industry knowledge.
  • Advise health system pharmacy, finance, compliance, operations, and executive teams on 340B program strategy and developments.
  • Analyze regional 340B opportunities, including contract pharmacy expansion.
  • Create roadmaps and project plans for 340B enhancement strategies and manage projects through completion.
  • Guide health systems in implementing strategies to increase eligible patients and 340B savings, including provider-based clinic conversions and Collaborative Drug Therapy Management programs.
  • Audit non-340B prescriptions dispensed by partner pharmacies and use EMR documentation to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Implement 340B programs for new pharmacies and advise on TPA and accumulator setup.
  • Review Hospital Medicare Cost Reports to identify 340B-eligible departments.
  • Develop or update partner policies, procedures, and reports covering 340B performance, financial value, and KPIs.
