Requirements
- At least 5 years of IT engineering or infrastructure support experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, statistics, business, health care, engineering, or a related field.
- Understanding of IT architecture concepts, enterprise infrastructure components, and the software development lifecycle.
- Experience working with enterprise information systems, platforms, or infrastructure technologies.
- Knowledge of health care payer processes, industry trends, and related regulatory requirements.
- Ability to execute data queries and analysis; SQL proficiency is required.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies, including advanced Excel.
- Exposure to Azure hybrid cloud environments, PowerShell or Python scripting, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or SolarWinds.
- Familiarity with basic security practices, including patching and vulnerability remediation.
- Project management experience and experience with planning or process improvement.
- Preferred: managed care experience and knowledge of health care payer systems, standards, and protocols.
- Preferred: experience with cloud platforms, virtualization, Windows or Linux systems, enterprise networking, PEGA, or Salesforce.
- Preferred: experience contributing to architecture reviews, engineering standards, or modernization initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance enterprise information systems and infrastructure across compute, storage, networking, databases, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Provide scripting and automation support using PowerShell, Python, and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
- Lead complex infrastructure build, deployment, and configuration activities.
- Support monitoring, alerting, and observability tools including Splunk, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.
- Support security controls, patching, vulnerability remediation, and HIPAA and HITECH compliance requirements.
- Perform advanced root-cause analysis and troubleshooting for complex infrastructure and service issues.
- Contribute technical input to architecture standards, roadmaps, projects, and solution design reviews.
- Collaborate with engineering, networking, security, application, and business stakeholders on integrated service delivery.
- Participate in on-call rotations and off-hours escalation support.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical training and guidance to team members.
