Requirements
- Typically 8+ years of experience as a data or analytics engineer.
- Experience designing and building data platforms.
- Strong data engineering skills with SQL and Python.
- Experience building data pipelines and data models.
- Experience integrating structured and unstructured data.
- Experience evaluating, choosing, and standing up data infrastructure.
- Use AI coding agents effectively and exercise judgment about when to use them.
- Experience with LLM application data pipelines, RAG, embeddings, or vector stores is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with documents and unstructured data at scale, object storage, or data lakes is a nice-to-have.
- Experience with Dagster or Airflow orchestration is a nice-to-have.
Responsibilities
- Design and build data platforms and pipelines that feed AI products.
- Determine how to store and serve data for AI applications using an OLTP database, object storage, or the Snowflake data warehouse.
- Solve data integration problems across structured and unstructured sources.
- Partner with software engineers building AI products to ensure the data platform meets their needs.
- Mentor other engineers and act as the technical lead for the data platform.
