Requirements
- Have 2–3 years of professional experience in international trade, logistics, shipping operations, supply chain, or a related field.
- Have practical experience managing international shipments and preparing or reviewing export documentation.
- Have experience working with ocean carriers, freight forwarders, NVOCCs, warehouses, or other logistics partners.
- Understand Bills of Lading, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and related international shipping documents.
- Have strong professional English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Be proficient with Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with operational data and shipment information.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, accuracy, and document management skills.
- Be able to manage multiple shipments and competing deadlines independently.
- Have problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational issues.
- Be comfortable working independently in a fully remote, international environment.
- Experience in plastic resin, polymer, chemicals, or manufacturing industries is preferred.
- Experience interpreting Letters of Credit and coordinating railcar and ocean shipments is desirable.
- Experience establishing rates or services with third-party carriers is a plus.
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, International Trade, or a related discipline is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders throughout the order-to-delivery lifecycle and maintain accurate operational records.
- Create and maintain Sales Orders, Sales Contracts, order summaries, and other operational records.
- Coordinate pickups and deliveries with customers, carriers, warehouses, freight partners, and internal teams.
- Manage carrier bookings, shipping cut-offs, vessel schedules, and related deadlines.
- Monitor vessel shipments, railcar movements, and warehouse activity, identifying risks such as late ingates, missed cut-offs, and container rolls.
- Track shipments from origin through delivery and investigate and resolve delays or operational issues.
- Prepare and review Bills of Lading, Certificates of Analysis, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and export declarations.
- Review Letters of Credit when required and ensure shipping documentation is accurate and delivered on time.
- Provide shipment status updates and communicate shipping details, documentation requirements, and schedules to customers and logistics partners.
- Support customer onboarding and coordinate resolutions for delivery-related claims.
