Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the environmental industry or a related field.
  • Have experience supervising employees and managing departmental operations, schedules, and workloads.
  • Demonstrate project coordination and organizational skills, including managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
  • Have leadership, delegation, and decision-making skills.
  • Have working knowledge of environmental testing, laboratory analysis, and related technical concepts.
  • Have experience reviewing and interpreting laboratory results, technical reports, and project documentation.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail when reviewing reports, invoices, emails, and client deliverables.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and able to learn databases, project management systems, and other software.
  • Have experience training, mentoring, and developing team members.
  • Have English proficiency at B2 level or above.
  • Have proven remote work experience, a dedicated home office, a reliable computer, a quality headset, and stable internet.
  • Be willing to work a Monday-Saturday operational schedule as needed, including occasional work outside regular business hours.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations, workflows, staffing, and project execution across the Project Coordinating and Field Technician Departments.
  • Lead department employees by managing schedules, assigning and delegating responsibilities, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
  • Coordinate and prioritize field projects to meet schedules and client and operational requirements.
  • Liaise with project coordinators, field technicians, clients, laboratories, and internal departments.
  • Oversee client communications about project updates, clearance results, technical questions, pricing, proposals, and service concerns.
  • Review and interpret laboratory results and technical findings, and communicate relevant information to clients and team members.
  • Oversee preparation, review, and approval of reports, reporting tables, invoices, emails, and other client deliverables.
  • Coordinate with laboratories on sample analysis, results, turnaround times, and issues affecting project timelines.
  • Train and cross-train team members, develop workflows, and monitor project progress and operational bottlenecks.
  • Support the Operations Director with department planning, resource allocation, and process improvements.
