Requirements
- Have five or more years of product management experience on a data or infrastructure platform team.
- Have directly stewarded technical roadmaps.
- Be comfortable reading system architecture and pipeline dependencies to make sequencing decisions with engineering.
- Have taken cross-team migrations and system retirements through completion.
- Be transparent about areas of growth and open to learning.
- Have experience weighing compute cost against performance and developer experience and driving decisions on those tradeoffs.
- Have working knowledge of how AI agents consume data and tools differently from people.
- Be able to independently navigate and understand new technical systems, key contacts, and open questions.
Responsibilities
- Manage governed platform access for engineers, analysts, and services using shared data.
- Streamline orchestration and scheduling by bringing fragmented tools together and using AI-assisted tooling to migrate jobs.
- Define self-service data ingestion for teams bringing their own data onto the platform.
- Oversee retirement of legacy systems and ensure clear ownership handoffs.
- Improve compute cost efficiency while maintaining the developer experience.
- Advance a storage layer strategy that supports more than one compute engine.
- Build an AI-ready platform substrate with governed access and audit trails for agents.
- Use AI agents in daily work and establish norms for experimenting with agentic workflows.
- Coordinate technical strategy with Data Engineering delivery teams and the team building agentic workflows.
