Job Details

Have experience delivering backend services and APIs in production.
Bring a strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals.
Have experience building applications with TypeScript and Node.js.
Have experience developing web features with React.
Have experience extending existing systems and writing scalable, performant code, with particular depth in backend development.
Be able to independently design technical solutions and lead projects from requirements through implementation and release.
Have experience collaborating with product, design, and engineers across teams.
Have experience mentoring peers and contributing to technical decisions.
Interest in sports and sports products is desired; familiarity with basketball, scorekeeping, or sports statistics is a plus.

Build and improve backend services and APIs for basketball scorekeeping, stats, and postgame experiences.
Extend existing endpoints and systems to support product capabilities, including postgame editing.
Develop web features for basketball box scores and stats.
Own technical design and delivery, making architectural decisions that fit existing systems and product needs.
Partner with mobile engineers on backend capabilities for iOS and Android experiences.
Collaborate with product, design, and engineers across the Hoops, Stats & Insights, and Gameday teams.
Write well-tested, maintainable code and improve system reliability and performance.
Share technical knowledge through code reviews and mentorship, and contribute engineering patterns and tools.
