Requirements
- Hold a terminal degree from an accredited institution in conflict resolution or a related field.
- Have at least three years of post-doctoral teaching experience in higher education; preferred.
- Have completed quality research in the last ten years, such as peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, or program evaluation reports; preferred.
- Have online instructional experience; preferred.
- Be proficient in APA style, including formatting, citation requirements, and punctuation.
- Be proficient with computers, software, and internet-based applications.
- Complete training modules covering Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access; Google Calendar, Mail, Sheets, and Docs; and Canvas and Bridge.
- Be a professing Christian and willing to support ACU's Christian mission.
- Demonstrate attention to detail, time management, confidentiality, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Work collaboratively or independently as the situation requires.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, direction, and support to students in the online classroom.
- Give students timely, constructive feedback on their work and answer course-related inquiries.
- Facilitate class activities, place students in groups, and conduct periodic synchronous sessions.
- Facilitate and grade assignments, and enter final grades after consultation with lead faculty or the program director.
- Alert lead faculty or the program director to student performance and policy issues.
- Participate with program faculty in planning, developing, and implementing curriculum.
- Provide feedback to the program director on program and course improvements.
- Participate in faculty meetings and complete program and faculty training as able or required.
