Requirements
- Bring 4+ years of experience in applied data science or machine learning.
- Have strong Python and SQL skills.
- Be comfortable working with large, messy real-world datasets.
- Have experience developing and evaluating supervised machine learning models.
- Bring practical experience with experimentation and statistical reasoning.
- Be familiar with reinforcement learning or decisioning frameworks.
- Demonstrate the ability to frame problems independently and drive analysis from ambiguity to impact.
- A STEM degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Experience in telecom, subscription, pricing, churn, or retention analytics is a nice to have.
- Exposure to contextual bandits, reinforcement learning, or policy optimization is a nice to have.
- Experience in multi-client or product-driven analytics settings and familiarity with AI agents are nice to have.
Responsibilities
- Translate business asks into modeling tasks and evaluation frameworks.
- Explore data quality, label stability, and measurement feasibility before modeling.
- Define success metrics, guardrails, and counterfactual approaches.
- Create training datasets from production data sources and engineer and validate features.
- Train and evaluate supervised learning models for customer decision problems.
- Implement and tune decision logic, including contextual bandit or reinforcement learning approaches.
- Design and analyze A/B tests or staged rollouts and translate results into product decisions.
- Specify model inputs, outputs, and logging requirements for monitoring and evaluation.
- Work with engineers to integrate models into live workflows, build monitoring dashboards, and investigate anomalies.
