Requirements
- Hold an advanced degree in a quantitative field.
- Have 3–4 years of experience with a Master’s degree, or 2+ years with a Ph.D.
- Have a strong foundation in probability and statistics.
- Have a strong foundation in machine learning tools.
- Have experience with SQL and Python.
- Be familiar with relevant machine learning and statistical packages.
- Have successfully used data science to drive enterprise value in a business function.
- Have experience leading large-scale initiatives from concept to measurable business impact.
- Improve others’ work through mentorship, code review, and leadership by example.
- Clearly communicate how work contributes to business goals and aligns with company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead large-scale projects from ideation through enterprise impact.
- Develop creative and practical solutions using a broad problem-solving toolkit.
- Evaluate trade-offs between out-of-the-box and customized solutions, optimizing for speed and effectiveness.
- Implement scalable, bug-free, well-tested solutions that reduce complexity.
- Understand business challenges and deliver results that solve key problems.
- Engage stakeholders across all levels to align data science efforts with business needs.
- Identify and mitigate risks early to prevent project roadblocks.
- Advise and collaborate with peers to deliver projects on time and aligned with business objectives.
- Mentor peers through collaboration, code review, and leadership by example.
