Requirements

  • Have 4+ years of hands-on experience in R&D, Quality, or Product Development within dietary supplements, food, or a regulated consumer product category.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a closely related scientific field.
  • Bring experience designing and running end-to-end stability studies.
  • Bring experience validating test methods for complex formulation matrices.
  • Have a solid understanding of gummy chemistry, extraction methods, and analytical limitations, including matrix interference and detection limits.
  • Have direct experience negotiating pricing, scope, and service level agreements with external testing laboratories.
  • Be able to independently own specifications and make critical quality decisions.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, co-manufacturers, and external partners.
  • Have strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to record-keeping and document accuracy.
  • Gummy or confectionery experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design, execute, and oversee stability studies across the gummy portfolio, setting testing protocols and tracking timepoints against shelf-life targets.
  • Share stability data with stakeholders.
  • Assess analytical test-method compatibility for complex matrices, identifying detection limits and matrix interferences.
  • Negotiate pricing, scope, and turnaround times directly with third-party contract testing laboratories.
  • Maintain, audit, and update the documentation suite for every SKU, including specifications and SFPs.
  • Stage product specifications from initial draft through final approval and make product sign-off decisions.
  • Identify potential stability, ingredient degradation, off-note, and packaging interaction issues before they affect quality or launch timelines.
  • Partner with Quality, Operations, and co-manufacturers to maintain consistent test methods, specifications, and protocols from development to commercial production.
