Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Have a minimum of 5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience as an external candidate; internal candidates with exceptional performance may be considered with fewer years.
- Demonstrate consistent achievement of sales objectives with formal recognition such as top rankings, awards, or President’s Club.
- Demonstrate success launching new products and driving adoption in competitive markets.
- Bring advanced analytical and business acumen to interpret market dynamics, identify opportunities, and apply insights to strategy.
- Demonstrate the ability to build and sustain professional relationships with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and key office staff in live and virtual settings.
- Have strong computer and digital skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint), Veeva Engage, Teams, and Zoom.
- Hold a valid driver’s license and have a safe driving record.
- Be able to travel extensively across the region, including overnight travel, and attend national, regional, and corporate meetings as required.
- Preferred: Demonstrated success in an overlay model, partnering with multiple sales representatives.
- Preferred: Experience as a peer mentor, field trainer, or workshop or meeting facilitator, with presentation skills.
- Preferred: Gastroenterology or other specialty therapeutic-area experience.
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales objectives by engaging high-value gastroenterology customers across the region with Territory Sales Representatives.
- Maintain advanced product and disease-state knowledge to deliver clinically focused engagements with gastroenterologists, advanced practice providers, and office staff.
- Assess regional market dynamics, access opportunities, and competitive trends to accelerate pull-through.
- Partner with multiple Territory Sales Representatives to coordinate execution and expand customer coverage and prescribing depth.
- Support new-hire onboarding, facilitate field skill development, and lead workshops and capability sessions at regional and national meetings.
- Contribute to strategic business planning with the Regional Sales Manager.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Sales Operations, and other commercial colleagues.
- Manage administrative and operational responsibilities, including CRM use and expense management, while following company and regulatory standards.
