Requirements
- Have 7+ years of design experience in an in-house, agency, or relevant industry design environment.
- Have 5+ years of people-management experience.
- Have led complex, high-consequence workflows in healthcare or another expert professional domain.
- Bring strong judgment in interaction design, information design, research, and product strategy.
- Demonstrate experience helping experienced designers grow into strategic decision-makers and organizational leaders.
- Have experience with AI-enabled products or demonstrate sound judgment about recommendations, automation, evidence, uncertainty, and human oversight.
- Have experience with complex systems and applications, simplifying complexity and creating intuitive experiences.
- Work collaboratively with product and engineering to connect design with business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Establish a coherent clinical UX strategy across decision support, treatment planning, intervention selection, execution, coordination, and longitudinal follow-through.
- Coach experienced designers to lead through ambiguity, define strategy, make trade-offs, influence stakeholders, and expand their impact.
- Guide teams in deciding where AI should synthesize information, generate options, recommend next steps, automate work, or remain outside the workflow.
- Set expectations for evidence, uncertainty, human oversight, review, and correction in AI-enabled clinical workflows.
- Partner with Clinical, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Research leaders to connect clinical needs, model capabilities, user evidence, technical constraints, and business priorities.
- Strengthen critique, research synthesis, clinical review, prototyping, evaluation, and learning practices.
