Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of professional communications experience; nonprofit or professional services experience is preferred.
- Exceptional storytelling, writing, editing, grammar, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to translate complex information into clear messages for diverse audiences.
- Experience developing and executing communications strategies for organizational change.
- Experience planning and managing organization-wide events, including conferences, retreats, town halls, and team-building activities.
- Experience partnering with senior executives and cross-functional teams.
- Strong relationship management, strategic thinking, project management, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Sound judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-racism, equity, and inclusion.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute internal communications strategies that support organizational initiatives and business priorities.
- Advise senior leaders and cross-functional teams on communications, alignment, stakeholder concerns, trust, and engagement.
- Plan communications for organizational changes, including restructurings, new service launches, and crises.
- Incorporate belonging, anti-racism, equity, and inclusion into employee communications and engagement initiatives.
- Align internal communications with brand identity, workplace culture, and employee experience.
- Lead firm-wide engagement initiatives and events, including conferences, leadership retreats, and town halls.
- Oversee content across newsletters, marketing digests, employee platforms, surveys, listening sessions, Slack, and other channels.
- Use feedback and engagement trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create storytelling and recognition communications that highlight teams and individuals.
