Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in account management, business development, or another client-facing revenue role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven track record of owning renewal or expansion targets and closing deals with senior-level stakeholders.
  • Experience running a full sales or renewal cycle, including prospecting, qualifying, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Comfort leading pricing conversations and contract negotiations.
  • Consultative and relationship-building skills with director-level and above stakeholders.
  • At least 1-2 years of direct, indirect, or cross-functional team leadership experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience running executive-level business reviews.
  • Proficiency with a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot and account health tracking tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20-25% of the time for client business.
  • Preferred: Background in life sciences, clinical trials, or healthcare technology, ideally with pharmaceutical sponsors, CROs, or clinical sites.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with clinical trial recruitment, prescreening, decentralized trial models, or real-world evidence/real-world data offerings.
  • Preferred: Experience selling or supporting SaaS platforms to regulated or highly technical buyers, and responding to RFPs or leading competitive or bid-defense conversations.

Responsibilities

  • Own relationships, account health, and retention for a portfolio of sponsor and CRO accounts.
  • Build relationships with clinical operations leaders and study teams, and advise them on trial recruitment and operations.
  • Run regular business reviews with client stakeholders and align on account strategy.
  • Resolve account issues and escalations in partnership with Customer Success, Support, and Product.
  • Build account plans and identify expansion opportunities across new studies, sites, and platform modules.
  • Prospect and qualify opportunities within existing accounts, and track pipeline against quarterly growth targets.
  • Lead proposals and RFP responses for account expansions, including competitive positioning.
  • Partner with leadership on pricing, packaging, and contract terms; negotiate and close renewals and expansions.
  • Coordinate contract-signature handoffs and kickoffs with Clinical Operations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Clinical Operations, Marketing, and Product to maintain a consistent client experience.
