Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of experience in transportation, mobility, logistics, strategic sourcing, procurement, vendor management, or another relevant operational environment.
  • Bring transportation industry experience, preferably in passenger transportation, shuttle, transit, motorcoach, mobility, or complex transportation operations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to translate complex business or operational requirements into sourcing strategies and accurate cost models.
  • Have strong analytical and quantitative skills, including advanced proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Have commercial judgment and experience negotiating pricing, terms, or service agreements with suppliers or vendors.
  • Be able to evaluate suppliers based on cost, capability, quality, capacity, and operational fit.
  • Build relationships and work directly with operator partners, business owners, and senior leaders.
  • Solve problems creatively when traditional sourcing options are limited.
  • Manage multiple sourcing opportunities, competing priorities, and deadlines independently.
  • Work effectively when scopes evolve, information is incomplete, and timelines are compressed.
  • Communicate costs, assumptions, risks, and recommendations across Sales, Operations, and leadership.
  • Travel occasionally to client locations for project launches and operations and to team onsite meetings; estimated travel is 5%-10%.

Responsibilities

  • Own sourcing for complex enterprise opportunities, including recurring shuttle programs, major events, and transit programs.
  • Evaluate transportation scopes to determine operational requirements, sourcing needs, constraints, and feasibility.
  • Develop comprehensive program cost models based on each opportunity's operational scope and requirements.
  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, feasibility, service quality, capacity, and client requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate transportation operators based on pricing, geography, capabilities, capacity, service history, scalability, and fit.
  • Lead commercial negotiations with operator partners to secure competitive pricing and terms while protecting operational and service requirements.
  • Partner with Enterprise Sales on sourcing strategy, costs, feasibility assessments, market intelligence, and proposal inputs.
  • Coordinate with Enterprise Operations on program handoffs, communicating operator commitments, pricing, assumptions, risks, and requirements.
  • Maintain accurate sourcing, pricing, operator, and opportunity information in CharterUP's systems.
  • Use data and market intelligence to improve sourcing effectiveness, cost competitiveness, operator selection, and capacity coverage.
