Requirements
- Have 8+ years of experience building software in startup-like environments.
- Bring full-stack engineering experience.
- Be proficient in JavaScript, Ruby, or Python.
- Have experience with Rails or a comparable web framework.
- Have experience with React or another frontend framework.
- Have experience with PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs, and cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP.
- Be comfortable participating in user interviews, shadowing onboarding, or working with metrics.
- Have clear asynchronous communication skills.
- Be able to prioritize, ship continuously, and solve problems creatively.
- Be comfortable operating autonomously, wearing many hats, and solving unfamiliar problems.
- Be comfortable and curious about using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Code Interpreter, or Claude.
Responsibilities
- Own problems from discovery through implementation, deployment, and customer follow-up.
- Build full-stack features across user interfaces, backend services, integrations, data, and infrastructure.
- Work with product, design, and business unit teammates to evaluate opportunities and decide what to build.
- Use prototypes, incremental releases, customer feedback, and usage data to test ideas and adjust approaches.
- Join customer conversations and work with onboarding and customer success teams to understand workflows and friction.
- Make architecture decisions, simplify existing systems, and address technical constraints.
- Investigate production issues and improve performance, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Share context, mentor teammates, review code, and help improve engineering practices and hiring.
