Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Have 5+ years of experience.
- Demonstrate proficiency with modern web, frontend, backend, and/or cloud applications.
- Have a good understanding of object-oriented concepts.
- Have experience building highly scalable, high-throughput systems.
- Have experience creating APIs and extensible systems.
- Preferred: production experience with Go, Java, Python, Flutter, or Node.js, and willingness to learn other languages.
- Preferred: experience building microservices in a distributed environment.
- Preferred: experience with message-based or event-driven architecture and asynchronous transactional patterns.
- Preferred: production experience with public cloud, including Azure or GCP.
- Preferred: experience with operations, monitoring, and deployment methodologies for distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Build, deploy, and maintain code for delivery technology services and solutions.
- Support services in production to maintain reliability and correctness.
- Implement and monitor analytics to verify business-process correctness.
- Participate in cross-functional projects in an agile environment.
- Participate in code reviews and provide system design feedback.
- Support standard development practices, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and test-driven development.
- Participate in team on-call rotations when necessary.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, stakeholders, and engineering leadership on technology choices and project evolution.
- Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering standards.
