Job Details

Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a related technical analytics role.
Demonstrate strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query performance optimization.
Use Python for data processing, including pandas and requests, and have experience developing scheduled jobs.
Have hands-on Looker experience, including data modeling, dashboard development, and performance optimization.
Have experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using REST API-based data sources.
Be familiar with Jira and understand software delivery lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and engineering organization structures.
Create data visualizations that communicate clear stories and actionable insights.
Maintain attention to data quality, accuracy, documentation, and analytical consistency.
Preferred: experience with Jira APIs, Jira Structure, and the broader Atlassian ecosystem at scale.
Preferred: familiarity with Jellyfish or comparable engineering management platforms, and Salesforce data extraction using SOQL or reports APIs.
Beneficial: experience with cloud data platforms such as BigQuery and exposure to DORA, velocity, cycle time, or throughput metrics.
Advantageous: HTML and JavaScript skills for custom visualizations and rapid prototyping; SaaS or enterprise software experience.

Build and maintain Looker dashboards covering feature delivery predictions, FTE allocation, resource contention, and portfolio health.
Migrate HTML-based dashboards to an enterprise BI environment while improving their analytical depth and usability.
Design self-service visualizations and implement alerting and anomaly detection for delivery and resource risks.
Build and maintain data pipelines integrating Jira REST APIs and Structure exports, Jellyfish APIs, Salesforce, and other internal sources.
Use Python and SQL to extract, transform, validate, and load data into a centralized analytics data store.
Implement data quality checks, validation, monitoring, and freshness controls.
Optimize queries and analytical data models for responsive dashboard performance.
Support senior leadership with executive-ready analyses, reporting, and insight presentations.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses of feature delivery trends, team capacity, engineering investment, cycle times, and operational drivers.
Document data lineage, calculation methodologies, dashboard logic, and analytical processes; collaborate with engineering, delivery, program, and product stakeholders.
