Requirements
- PhD, bachelor's, or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field focused on cryptography or cybersecurity.
- 10+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
- Strong experience in software security and cryptographic software implementations, such as OpenSSL or BoringSSL.
- Knowledge of post-quantum cryptography.
- Experience in secure software development and validation.
- Knowledge of C, C++, Rust, or other relevant programming languages.
- Proven experience bringing secure software products from concept to market.
- Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum or Kanban, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and performance metrics.
- Understanding of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, key management systems, and PQC standards and protocols such as NIST PQC.
- Expertise in secure software and cloud architecture.
- Knowledge of secure embedded software and IoT security.
- Experience with vulnerability analysis and secure coding practices.
- Understanding of cryptographic implementation attacks, including side-channel and fault-injection attacks, and their countermeasures.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute software engineering strategy aligned with the PQC product roadmap.
- Lead and mentor software engineers, developers, and software security experts.
- Oversee the design and implementation of cryptographic software libraries, secure protocols, and secure IP blocks optimized for PQC algorithms.
- Drive software design and integration for secure key management, secure communication protocols, and cryptographic agility.
- Ensure software architecture supports scalable, high-performance embedded, mobile, cloud, and data centre applications.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including cryptographers, hardware engineers, and external vendors.
- Implement and improve testing and verification methods, including CI/CD for automated testing, integration, and deployment.
- Work with hardware and cryptography teams on hardware-software co-design and PQC hardware accelerator integration.
- Engage with open-source communities and enterprise customers on integration and deployment of PQC software IP.
- Enforce secure software development lifecycle principles, secure coding practices, side-channel resistance, and cryptographic algorithm agility.
