Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in a software engineering position.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in C programming.
- Have experience with PostgreSQL internals, such as the storage engine, WAL, replication, catalog system, or extension development.
- Understand distributed systems concepts, including replication topologies, consensus, conflict resolution, eventual consistency, and failure modes.
- Have experience working with multi-version or multi-branch codebases and active backporting workflows.
- Be familiar with build systems and CI/CD practices.
- Be comfortable using Git on a large, long-lived codebase with complex branching.
- Have strong debugging and performance analysis skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and document new PGD capabilities.
- Maintain and improve the performance and usability of existing PGD capabilities.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into executable tasks.
- Provide production support to EDB’s PGD customers.
- Participate in code reviews.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team.
