Requirements
- Demonstrate strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean abstractions, maintainable code, and reasoned architecture choices.
- Have production experience with Go, or demonstrate strong systems programming skills in a comparable language.
- Have experience building and operating platform engineering systems, including relevant CI/CD and GitOps systems, infrastructure as code, container orchestration, observability and monitoring tooling, and cloud platforms.
- Have experience with AI coding agents and agentic development workflows.
- Have personally driven a complex project end-to-end.
- Demonstrate strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
- Have strong written and verbal English skills.
- Be adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with ambiguity.
- Participate in on-call rotation for teams that require it.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate the CI/CD pipelines used by every engineering team.
- Build and maintain observability and monitoring tooling that teams use to debug production systems.
- Build local development environment tooling for reproducing production-like conditions on laptops.
- Identify infrastructure-related sources of engineering friction and address them at the root.
- Debug complex issues spanning CI/CD, observability tooling, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
- Contribute to the platform roadmap and backlog.
