Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on execution-oriented technical management experience.
- 8+ years of experience in embedded systems and edge machine learning development.
- Experience managing a team of engineers that has shipped a mass production product.
- Experience deploying CV/ML models on edge devices in real-world applications.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a diverse, fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Experience working on products from concept to mass production is preferred.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, or similar programming languages is preferred.
- Proficiency in gstreamer, Google MediaPipe, or similar edge AI/media frameworks is preferred.
- Experience with data analysis using tools such as Databricks, SQL queries, or Tableau is preferred.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of approximately five firmware and ML engineers building, optimizing, and deploying AI models on fleet and industrial devices.
- Contribute directly to the design, implementation, and optimization of high-performance production systems.
- Guide architecture decisions for latency, power, memory, and model performance in edge ML and embedded systems.
- Partner with Product, Hardware, and Full-stack teams to take features from concept through deployment on devices.
- Improve existing products and features used by customers.
- Work with leadership on quarterly plans and balance product ambition with engineering health.
- Build a team culture focused on ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and execution quality.
- Hire and develop an inclusive, engaged, high-performing team.
