Requirements

  • Have 5+ years of progressive HR Operations, Employee Relations, EOR, PEO, HR shared services or employment-compliance experience in a multi-country EMEA environment.
  • Bring hands-on knowledge of employment compliance and employee lifecycle processes; experience supporting Spain, France and Germany is strongly preferred.
  • Have independently resolved complex escalations involving contracts, leave, payroll, benefits, terminations, employee relations or compliance.
  • Be able to de-escalate sensitive employee or client situations through clear, calm and empathetic communication.
  • Have experience in a ticket-based HR support environment managing case queues, SLAs, quality standards and competing priorities.
  • Be able to assess employment risk, make sound recommendations and recognise when Legal, Payroll or a local provider must be involved.
  • Have stakeholder-management experience coordinating with Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Operations, Benefits and external partners.
  • Have improved HR processes through root-cause analysis, SOPs, knowledge management or workflow automation.
  • Have excellent written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Have experience with HRIS and case-management tools such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, Jira, Workday, InterCom or similar.
  • Be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Own complex employee and client HR escalations across EMEA from initial assessment through compliant resolution.
  • Provide practical guidance on employment compliance, contracts, leave, benefits, payroll-related queries, employee relations and offboarding.
  • Assess employment risk and resolve high-priority cases where possible, involving specialist teams or providers when needed.
  • Apply employment-practices knowledge across EMEA, particularly Spain, France and Germany.
  • Lead sensitive employee and client conversations by phone or video, de-escalating concerns with empathy and sound judgement.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Legal, Compliance, Operations and local providers, providing case context, recommendations and next steps.
  • Manage ticket and email case queues, prioritising urgent issues and meeting agreed service levels.
  • Investigate recurring case themes and create SOPs, knowledge-base guidance and process improvements.
  • Support and coach junior support team members on complex cases, compliance and case ownership.
  • Maintain clear, audit-ready case documentation, including risk considerations, decisions, stakeholder input and communications.
