Requirements

  • Bring 8+ years of experience in a customer-facing solutions engineering, sales engineering, or systems architecture role.
  • Have experience in areas such as the SDLC, cloud architecture, or DevOps.
  • Have extensive knowledge of cloud platforms and expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Demonstrate experience leading and documenting proofs of concept and building technical and deal champions.
  • Have strong communication and presentation skills, including a history of presenting thought leadership to the broader industry.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or have equivalent experience.
  • Be available for 50% travel.
  • Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as PII, PCI, and HIPAA is a bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Drive technical discovery, architecture design, and proof-of-concept implementation throughout the pre-sales lifecycle.
  • Partner with Account Executives and Customer Success Managers to craft technical value propositions.
  • Deliver demonstrations, workshops, and proposals tailored to C-level and technical stakeholders.
  • Build trust with customers, identify technical champions, and serve as a strategic advisor.
  • Relay customer feedback to Product and Engineering and influence the product roadmap.
  • Lead cross-regional technical initiatives and improve SE tools, processes, and frameworks.
  • Mentor junior team members and share industry best practices across the SE team.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of LaunchDarkly’s platform, integrations, industry trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Respond to RFPs and manage technical environments that support enterprise sales.
  • Translate client requirements into scalable, technically sound solutions and represent LaunchDarkly at events and customer engagements.
