Experience: 5+ years of experience and proficiency in at least one modern programming language; 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies; 5+ years software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications; 1+ year professional experience leveraging AI to improve personal productivity in service of building complex SaaS feature sets

Have 5+ years of experience and proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
Have 5+ years of software development experience building highly scalable, highly available applications.
Have experience developing, documenting, and supporting REST APIs.
Have 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
Bring an interest in learning Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, and database internals and reliability, including MySQL.
Have 1+ year of professional experience leveraging AI to improve productivity while building complex SaaS feature sets.
Be comfortable, or eager to become comfortable, working in a mob programming environment for most of the day.
Be willing to write test-driven code and share system ownership.
Be able to troubleshoot complex technical problems and engage in group discussions.
Have a BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical industry experience.

Design and build scalable backend services for next-generation applications.
Help build and maintain core infrastructure supporting system reliability, stability, and performance.
Contribute to managing and upgrading large-scale database infrastructure and complex replication topologies.
Automate core operations using AWS, Golang, MySQL, Terraform, Temporal, and GitLab-CI.
Collaborate with teammates through mob programming and collective code ownership.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions with engineers and product managers.
Use test-driven development to help ensure foundational systems are resilient before production.
Use AI tools across coding, testing, design, and troubleshooting, and coach others on effective AI use.
Participate in an on-call rotation to support operational health.
