Requirements
- Have 3 to 6 years of experience in accounting or accounting plus FP&A.
- Bring hands-on exposure to inventory, accounts payable, or cost accounting.
- Be fluent in three-way matching and comfortable challenging vendors when figures do not reconcile.
- Have advanced Excel skills, including pivots, lookups, and building models from scratch.
- Have ERP experience, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, or a similar system.
- Think in terms of unit economics, not only journal entries.
- Be self-directed and fast.
- Apparel, CPG, or DTC ecommerce experience is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Process, code, and schedule vendor invoices across the supplier base.
- Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving reports, and invoices for inbound shipments.
- Run payment cycles, track payment terms, capture early-pay discounts, and resolve vendor discrepancies.
- Reconcile invoiced quantities against goods received and identify shipment, production, and pricing variances.
- Partner with fulfillment leadership to maintain receiving documentation.
- Maintain weighted average costs across approximately 1,300 SKUs and reconcile landed costs.
- Support monthly COGS true-ups and inventory valuation reviews.
- Reconcile vendor accounts, review statements, and track vendor performance.
- Analyze gross margins, SKU contribution, velocity, and markdown exposure.
- Prepare vendor scorecards and ad hoc spending and pricing analyses for ownership.
