Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting, including monthly close and financial statement preparation.
- Deep, hands-on experience with CPG inventory reconciliation (hard requirement).
- Strong proficiency in US GAAP with experience supporting US-based companies.
- Advanced experience with cloud finance stacks, specifically Xero and Airtable.
- Proven track record of building automated financial dashboards for management visibility.
- Demonstrated daily, professional usage of Claude AI in accounting workflows.
- Experience with trade spend, deductions, and retailer/distributor chargeback disputes.
- Excellent written and spoken English with ability to communicate proactively across time zones.
- Nice to have: CPA or local equivalent certification.
- Nice to have: Experience with natural channel distributors (e.g., UNFI, KeHE).
- Must be able to work during US business hours.
Responsibilities
- Run the full-cycle monthly, quarterly, and annual close process on a tight calendar.
- Manage AP, AR, bank and credit card reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany entries.
- Perform CPG inventory reconciliation across finished goods, raw materials, and packaging for multiple channels and locations.
- Apply US GAAP revenue recognition standards including gross-to-net, trade spend, slotting, and promotions.
- Manage end-to-end retail and distributor deduction/chargeback recovery workflows.
- Build and maintain live financial and operational dashboards to provide real-time management visibility.
- Automate accounting workflows using tools like Xero, Airtable, and Claude to minimize manual processes.
- Support audit preparation and external tax/audit requirements.
