Requirements
- Have 8+ years of progressive experience in enterprise software implementation, tax technology consulting, systems integration, or technical solution delivery.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline, or have equivalent practical experience.
- Bring subject matter expertise in excise and fuel taxation, oil and gas supply chains, terminal operations, or indirect tax systems.
- Have advanced troubleshooting experience with APIs, SQL and database queries, data transformation pipelines, ERP data structures, and complex enterprise integrations.
- Have designed and delivered enterprise-scale solutions across multiple entities, jurisdictions, and systems, including high-volume transaction environments.
- Be able to explain technical and functional concepts and influence executive-level stakeholders.
- Demonstrate ability to lead cross-functional technical teams and drive outcomes without direct reporting authority.
- Experience configuring specialized excise tax platforms or comparable tax engines is preferred.
- Knowledge of ERP ecosystems such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle ERP Cloud, PDI Enterprise, or JD Edwards is preferred.
- Be comfortable working in an AI-enabled environment and using AI-related technologies.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end technical delivery of complex enterprise implementations, including multi-entity structures, cross-border movements, and custom ERP and connector integrations.
- Own solution architecture and tax determination strategies for high-volume transaction environments, including calculation logic and schedule and return mappings.
- Facilitate architectural and functional design workshops with tax, IT, systems integration, and enterprise architecture stakeholders.
- Lead system integration testing and user acceptance testing strategies, diagnosing complex technical and data issues.
- Manage technical project risks by identifying architectural constraints and dependencies and addressing potential scope drift.
- Serve as a senior escalation point for customer issues, data anomalies, and tax determination or compliance challenges.
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to investigate root causes and advocate for platform improvements.
- Collaborate with third-party implementation partners and provide technical governance for delivery quality and architectural consistency.
- Participate in pre-sales discovery, solution scoping, technical discussions, and effort estimations.
- Provide consultant coaching and peer review, and develop reusable implementation templates, validation scripts, and training.
