Requirements

  • Have 6+ years of experience as a consultant or implementation professional, with responsibility for leading projects or complex client engagements.
  • Bring professional experience with sales compensation as a consultant or in-house administrator or practitioner using compensation technology.
  • Understand data modeling, formulas, spreadsheets, and database concepts, and be proficient in Excel or comparable tools.
  • Understand object-oriented and relational data concepts and apply them to implementation and configuration work.
  • Have experience working within a SaaS or technology company.
  • Manage time and organize work effectively across customer meetings, technical build work, and competing priorities.
  • Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders and take a customer-focused approach.
  • Work independently, make sound decisions, and recognize when additional guidance or collaboration is needed.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-changing environment with ambiguity and evolving priorities.
  • Preferred: SQL experience.
  • Preferred: Experience implementing AI solutions or AI-enabled technologies.
  • Preferred: Experience with sales compensation platforms such as Xactly, Varicent, or SAP Commissions.
  • Preferred: Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce or ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle sales compensation technology implementations, including requirements documentation, plan design, data modeling, configuration, build, user acceptance testing, and go-live.
  • Design scalable, repeatable system configurations tailored to customer compensation plans and business requirements.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing contact throughout implementation engagements and build relationships with customer administrators and stakeholders.
  • Manage timelines and priorities across multiple concurrent implementations and proactively set expectations with customers and internal teams.
  • Scope implementation and post-implementation services and contribute to commercial discussions and negotiations.
  • Identify, communicate, and escalate project risks to protect customer outcomes and implementation timelines.
  • Coordinate handoffs to Customer Success at go-live, transferring documentation, context, and ownership.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Customer Success, Sales, and other teams to resolve customer needs and improve implementation practices.
  • Maintain billable utilization while contributing to delivery improvements and team initiatives.
